I've Never Been to Me(從沒做過自己)是一首充滿女性自覺的抒情歌曲。
歌曲的敘述方式十分特別：描述一個歷經滄桑的女人，見到一個因不滿自己
眼前的生活、準備去追尋『自由』的怨婦，忍不住真摯地提出忠告：
我自己也曾經有過放蕩形骸的生活，甚至為追尋所謂的自由走遍了世界；
而且憑藉年輕和美貌，曾得到過別的女人做夢都不敢想的快樂時光；
但是到頭來卻是一場空，等到年紀大了，發現自己追求的不過是鏡花水月，
甚至從未有過真正的自我。
雖然歌中唱的是勸告別人，但聽起來卻像是在規勸另一個自己，一個幾十年前的自己。
她規勸那位徬徨的婦女，要好好珍惜自己的擁有，珍惜自己懷抱中的孩子，以及那經常
拌嘴卻是真心愛自己的丈夫。她說自己雖然到過所謂的『快樂天堂』，卻從來沒未找到

這首歌早在1977即由美國女歌手Charlene 灌唱，其後也曾經數次重錄，或許是發行公司財力不夠。
